Morgans Hotel Group, creator of the original boutique hotel, asked us to develop a print piece for their 20 year anniversary campaign, “The Modern Classic.” Each of Morgans' twelve properties has an over-the-top design aesthetic. To capture the essence of their brand, we used their brand typeface, imagery of their hotels, and created new graphic elements, which together formed an artifact that illustrates their unique take on luxury hospitality.
This project was a print designer's dream, complete with gold-holographic foil, gold staples, fluorescent Pantone inks, collage, illustration, a tear-out poster, and even a little pack of temporary tattoos.
